Our Programs

We aim to strengthen our community through innovative educational initiatives by providing financial aid for incoming educators, host engaging workshops for secondary students to explore work-based learning opportunities, and offer crucial curriculum writing support to Career and Technical Education (CTE) teaching staff.

Our programs aim to help create a dynamic and thriving CTE ecosystem, fostering career growth, community collaboration, and the continuous improvement of educational practices.

Join us in shaping a brighter future where education is not just a path to employment but a journey of empowerment and lifelong learning.

Work-Based Learning Coordination

  1. The current regulations require that to obtain the Coordinator of Work-Based Learning Programs for Career Development extension, the individual must hold a base certificate in a career and technical education (CTE) content area. With CTE teachers being one of the highest shortage areas in New York and increased demand for work-based learning opportunities in schools, Essential Developments Incorporated offers a solution. Our organization's president works with school districts in securing Cooperative Career and Technical Work Experience programs and its coordinators. We provide informational workshops as the WBL programs must be supervised in coordination with a CTE teacher from the content area in which the experience is taking place.

2

Teacher Preparation

Financial aid is available to aspiring CTE teachers. Our organization covers the costs of mandatory workshops, fingerprinting fees, the cost of the certificate and any other related expenses making the pursuit of CTE teaching a smoother transition.

3

Vocational Exposure

Essential Developments Incorporated is a work-based learning organization that participates with administering job shadowing experiences, allowing secondary and post secondary students to spend time with professionals in their chosen vocations. First-hand exposure to day-to-day responsibilities, workplace culture, and industry-specific challenges.

4

Virtual Teaching Internship Fairs

These events provide a platform for individuals to connect with experienced educators, school administrators, and representatives from educational institutions. By utilizing the virtual format, we can reach a broader audience, including those who may face geographical constraints.
